Job search

Where do you look for jobs?

  • Which websites/engines?
  • What about social media?
  • Word of mouth?

For online job boards:

  • Set up job alerts
  • Work out the best terms to search for, and then reassess occasionally
  • Be the early bird (look at the date on the advert)

What is the difference between reactive and proactive job search?

What’s your story?

As media professionals, we tell stories all the time. Telling our own story though can be difficult. Writing a good bio that is authentic and that highlights your talents is important to nail jobs and present your best self professionally.

READ: Natalie Pozdeev’s blog on how to write your bio.

TASK: get cracking, and write a killer story/bio about yourself.

It’s Week 5 – your WHS Report is due today. Let me know if you need more time or if you have any questions.
