Week 8 (23/9): Catch up week

#2: Beautiful information

THE CHALLENGE:

 

Using Canva, make an infographic on one of the following topics:

    • Creativity
    • Study
    • Motivation
    • Looking after yourself

When you’re done:

Download your infographic from Canva.

Post it to your WordPress site with an appropriate headline.

If you’re feeling brave, share the post link to our section Facebook group with the hashtag #ContentChallenge.

Sign up for a free account.
It’s pretty intuitive to use, but if you’d prefer a step-by-step, here’s a good one.
Use one of the infographic templates to get started.

No idea what to make your infographic about?
First up, choose one of the four topics above.

Next, research more about the topic. A bit of googling will help a lot. Make sure your sources are good.

Then, narrow down the focus of your topic.

eg. Creativity could become ‘5 ideas to make you more creative’.

My infographic is looking too cluttered!
Good infographics tend to rely on strong, bold images, and keep the word count comparatively low.

If you’ve edited down the number of words and it still looks cluttered, try changing the sizes of things. Make the big things bigger, and the small text smaller.

Ask for a second opinion if you’ve got one handy 😉

#3: Sweet sounds

THE CHALLENGE:

Research and write a profile of your favourite band or musician.

Make a Spotify playlist of their songs.

When you’re done:

Post it to your WordPress site with the Spotify playlist embedded, plus an appropriate headline and CC-licensed image.

#4: Sweet Charity <3

THE CHALLENGE:

Produce a 15 or 30 second community service announcement for a charity or not-for-profit organisation of your choice.

It must be suitable for a TAFE Radio audience, and definitely must be #safeforTAFE

When you’re done:

Upload to Soundcloud.

Embed the Soundcloud in a new post on your WordPress site with an appropriate headline and CC-licensed image.
